Wolesi-Jirga to summon Security Officials next Saturday

Lower house of Parliament will summon Security Officials next Saturday to discuss the increasing security threats faced by the country.

 

They said, “Insecurity has increased since the second round of the Presidential Election was declared.”

 

Some of the Wolesi-Jirga members have said that the Election is best option for transition of political power. They have also asked the Government not to interfere in the Election process.

 

Meanwhile, both Presidential contenders, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah and Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai have begun their campaigning. Campaigns will continue till 48 hours prior to Election Day, which is Jun 14, 2014.
