Afghanistan Wolesi Jirga (WJ) urged President Ashraf Ghani to expose Pakistan’s interventions in Afghanistan’s affairs in Heart of Asia summit HAS.

Parliament representatives demand Afghan government to reveal the reality of current situation in Afghanistan to the participants of Heart of Asia conference.

“With participating in Heart of Asia Summit, the government should name those who support and equip terrorism with clear reasons,” said Zahir Qadir, first deputy speaker of Parliament.

“The government must reveal revenue from Proxy War and quite frankly says about Pakistani ISI interventions in Afghanistan affairs,” said Satar Durzabi, representative of Jawzjan.

Meanwhile, a number of Parliament members say that Afghan delegation should not discuss on Peace Talks in a weakness manner and do not accept Pakistan’s false commitments.

Since coming to power President Ghani has courted Pakistan, expending substantial domestic political capital in the process, in hopes Islamabad will persuade the Taliban to come to the negotiating table.

President Ashraf Ghani is expected to visit Pakistan on Dec 9 on the occasion of the Fifth Ministerial Conference of the Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process which is being jointly hosted by Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The two-day meeting of the regional initiative is being held on Dec 8-9 in Islamabad and will be attended by foreign ministers or senior representatives from Azerbaijan, China, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Saudi Arabia,Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and UAE.

The Summit will seek to bring together the regional countries for greater economic and political ties.

Afghan pundits believe the Summit would serve as opportune platform for President Ghani to work on fostering ties between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
