US reveals names of three Americans held by IEA
Zabihullah Mujahid recently confirmed that two Americans are imprisoned in Afghanistan and that they have discussed prisoner exchange with US officials

A US State Department official has confirmed that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) is currently holding three US citizens, namely George Glezmann, Mahmood Habibi and Ryan Corbet in their custody.
The official revealed the names answering a query by Washington Examiner.
Earlier, Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, confirmed that two Americans are imprisoned in Afghanistan and that they have discussed prisoner exchange with US officials.
“We should be able to free our nationals in exchange for them. As American citizens are important to them (America), Afghan citizens are important to us,” Mujahid said in a press conference after returning from Doha where he attended a UN-sponsored international meeting on Afghanistan.
The Islamic Emirate has not named the American prisoners.
