Ulomi convinced majority of MPs regarding security situation

Afghanistan Interior Minister, Norulhaq Ulomi was summoned to the Wolesi Jirga- the Lower House of Parliament to satisfactory information over deteriorating security situation.

The minister of interior was said to consider the reason for intensifying security problems, Pakistan’s interventions in Afghanistan’s affairs and equipping the oppositions by the neighboring Pakistan.

“I hope you to keep calm when I reveal all facts about Pakistan and ISI in recent decades. The Afghan security forces have made them a shield against regional countries and the world,” interior minister, Norulhaq Ulomi said. “I obviously say that Pakistan supports all terrorist groups and I am stressing that we seriously combat against Pakistan’s ISI and any country that conspire.”

At the end of the session, after Ulomi explained all reasons due to security situation, lawmakers decided to leave him as interior minister and confirmed the continuation of his work.

Based on article 92 of the constitution, a minister could be summoned to answer questions from legislators if 20 percent of the Wolesi Jirga members sign the summons.
