“Important day spent at Camp David with our very talented Generals and military leaders. Many decisions made, including on Afghanistan,” Trump tweeted.
Trump, however, did not officially clear what was decided on the country, where the war now on its 16th year.
The meeting of U.S. President and his top defense and diplomatic teams at Camp David, reviewed an array of options for a strategy on Afghanistan but no decisions were officially emerged from the meeting.
The meeting included Defense Secretary James Mattis, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, CIA Director Mike Pompeo and National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster. Vice President Pence cut short a trip to South America to attend the meeting.
