Three Wounded as Blast Hits Car in Kabul

At least three people were wounded in Police District 9 of Kabul City after a magnetic bomb placed in a vehicle went off on Monday morning, Afghanistan’s Ministry of Interior said.
Najib Danish, Deputy Spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, confirmed the incident saying the explosion occurred as a result of a magnetic bomb in a civilian vehicle. The explosion injured the vehicle’s three passengers.
The blast occurred around 9:00 am in the Kolba Arman area of Kabul near the U.S. Embassy in Kabul City.
A police investigation is currently underway, Danish said.
A Taliban spokesman claimed the responsibility of the attack, saying that a soldier’s vehicle was targeted.
