A Taliban intelligence chief for Baghlan province has been arrested by the Afghan intelligence agency while he was travelling in a police ranger to Kabul.
On the condition of anonymity a security source told Ariana News that the Taliban spy chief for Baghlan was on a police ranger with two policemen and all three were arrested by the National Directorate of Security (NDS) in a checkpoint in Khenjan area of Baghlan.
The arrested Taliban militant named Qari Zaher was wounded and they were planning to seek treatment in Kabul while arrested, the source added.
Officials in Baghlan National Directorate of Security confirmed the report, but did not provide any details.
According to the report the four-door Ford Ranger is belong to Maidan Wardak National Police HQ.
Taliban has not made a comment yet.
