The Taliban militants have a major terrorist training center in Emam Saheb district of Kunduz province, said a number of inhabitants.
According to the residents, Taliban’s training center locates in Jangal area of Emam Saheb district which raised people’s concerns.
One of the inhabitants, Abdullah said, “We have seen them activating, replacing mines in the streets.”
Another resident, Abdul Matin said, “They train and recruit individuals and their military base is in Jangal and Kalbat areas.”
The Jangal and Kalbat areas where Taliban have training center are located in zero point area with Tajikistan.
The Emam Saheb chief district, Mahboubullah Saeedi also accepts the existence of Taliban training center in the district and said, “Naturally, in areas where the armed opposition is active, they set up mines along the road, and this is a possible issue.”
The Emam Saheb district of Kunduz is one of the most densely populated districts in the province and has more than 70 kilometers of joint border with Tajikistan.
