A Taliban’s financial and logistic officer was arrested by Afghan forces in Logar province of Afghanistan on Tuesday, a police official said.
Suhrab Samim, the Afghan National Civil Order Police (ANCOP) spokesman said, Taj Mohammad, the Taliban’s financial and logistic official for Charkh district of Logar province, was arrested during a joint operation in Kabul – Logar highway today morning.
According to Samim, the individual was arrested as he was carrying some weapons and Pakistani rupees.
Apparently the individual had an important role in arranging funds for the group in eastern Logar province.
The Taliban militants group has not commented regarding the report yet.
