At least six Taliban militants including two local commanders of the group were killed in an airstrike conducted by Afghan Forces in northern Kunduz province, the Afghan Military said on Thursday.
The 209th Shaheen Corps officials told Ariana News that the Afghan forces launched air operation on the Taliban hideouts in Kunduz, where at least six militants including two local commanders were killed and 3 others wounded.
According to the sources, the two Taliban commanders were identified as Qari Mohammad Wali and Najibullah also known as Haroon.
In a separate incident, at least four Taliban insurgents have been killed and six others injured in clashes with the Afghan security forces on Khanabad-Kunduz highway.
The Taliban has not made a comment about the incidents, yet.
Kunduz is among the insecure provinces in northern Afghanistan, where the Taliban insurgents are actively operating in a number of their districts.
