Suicide bomber explodes car outside Iranian embassy in Kabul

A suicide bomber car targeted a Turkish diplomatic vehicle belonging to the NATO mission killed two people including a Turkish driver.
Ayoub Salangi, top deputy of the interior ministry said, “The blast came shortly after 8:00 am, not far from the Iranian embassy.”
The Taliban group claimed responsibility but appeared to have mistaken the Turkish security team for a U.S. convoy, clarifying on Twitter that they had not intended to kill any other country’s citizens.
“The purpose of today’s attack in Kabul was a convoy of U.S. troops. The embassy or any other country nationals were not objective,” Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid tweeted.
“The suicide bomber was in a Toyota sedan, he detonated himself causing a big bang, soon after the explosion there was black smoke everywhere,” eyewitness said.
The attack comes after Parwez Musharaf, former Pakistani president said Afghanistan government should share power with Taliban group if it wishes to see peace.
