The Afghan Senate House Speaker Fazel Hadi Muslimyar has said anyone who is working under Afghanistan’s flag, but supports Taliban and Daesh are terrorists and the enemies of the country.

“Anyone journalist, elder, religious scholar, lawmaker who is in the government, but are supporting Taliban, Daesh and other terrorist groups, they are terrorist and the enemies of Afghanistan,” Muslimyar declared.

Adding, anti-government armed militants who have killed Afghans during the last 13 years cannot be called Afghans but terrorists.

He urged the government of Afghanistan to interrogate those who support insurgent groups and sentence them to imprisonment.

A number of senators blamed Pakistan for destabilizing Afghanistan and accused its intelligence agency behind the recent insecurity on Kabul – Kandhar highway.

“They are not Taliban, they are ISI troops who have blocked the road ahead of the people, the government must investigate this issue very seriously,” Shir Mohammad Akhundzada a senate member said.

Another member of the senate house stated,” Paktika has an open border with Pakistan, they [ISI members] can commute to Kunduz and other areas using that route, the government must close open borders with Pakistan otherwise their interference will increase”.

Members of the Upper House of Parliament pointed fingers to Pakistan for attacks on Kunduz and Ghazni provinces during the last couple of weeks.

“After Kunduz province Ghazni came under their propaganda, because there is not a good coordination the insurgents are attacking the cities. If we do not prevent them these problems will increase,” Senate member Abdul Baqi Baryal said.

Senate members say the main reason behind the increased insecurity is lack of coordination between the Afghan National Security Forces and International troops and therefore asks the government to increase interactions to avoid conspiracies of the enemies of the country.
