Senate passes 7 law in extraordinary session

The Upper House of Parliament-Senate has approved seven draft law with the majority of votes on Wednesday session.

The first deputy speaker of Senate said an extraordinary session held, based on the national interests, effectiveness of these laws and President’s decree to solve the existence challenges.

“We held an extraordinary session with the given needs of the country and the national interests and the seven articles approved with the majority of votes,” said Farhad Sakhi, first deputy speaker of Senate.

The seven draft laws are as follow:

1- Copyright law in 7 chapters and 46 articles

2- Commercial and industrial secret protection law in 4 chapters and 14 articles

3- Plant protection law in 6 chapters and 68 articles

4- Global goods trade law in 4 chapters and 21 articles

5- Animal health law in 4 chapters and 26 articles

6- Law enforcement process and publishing legislative documents law in 6 chapters and 68 articles

7- Supporting creation of integrated circuits, such as memory cards and modems

This comes as that the National Assembly is now in its 45 days summer break, but the Senate House held an extraordinary session and cleared the issue of seven draft law that were very important for the people.
