Afghanistan Senate House on Tuesday called on government for dismissal of Kundoz governor and security officials of the province.
Senators criticized government of incompetence regarding the collapse of Kundoz province into Taliban’s hands; citing Kundoz governor should not traveled to Tajikistan in emergency conditions.
They stressed that with fall of Kundoz, government’s assets looted and Kundoz residents have been affected with loss of lives.
Chairman of the senate noted that 300 Taliban have been escaped in this incident which authorities should be accountable.
“Governor, security commander and other officials of Kundoz province should bring to court because they have neglect in their jobs,” Fazlul Hadi Muslimyar, chairman of Senate said.
“All officials must be executed due to incompetence and retreat,” Senator Shir Muhammad Akhund Zada said.
Meanwhile, some of Senators are said to consider security situation of the country particularly Kundoz the weakness of National Unity Government (NUG).
“The National Unity Government is a National Terror Government. Mullah Nasruddin is better than Ashraf Ghani,” Senator Afzal Shamil said.
“Unfortunately, the security measures in Kundoz were extremely weak, the fall of Kundoz indicates neglect of the government,” Sanator Faisal Sami said.
This comes as recently the United Nation has also voiced concern over presence of Daesh group in Afghanistan which added that Daesh are activating in 25 provinces of the country and their fans become more day by day.
Insecurity in the provinces of Afghanistan is due to the lack of job opportunities, youth are being used by political groups, the government should pay more attention to this issue, as unemployment rates will increase, more youth will join illegal armed groups or insurgents.
