Roadside Bomb Blast Kills Four Civilians in Farah

Four civilians including two women have been killed in a roadside bomb explosion in western Farah province of Afghanistan, officials said Tuesday.

Farah Police Spokesman, Iqbal Bahir said that the incident took place on Tuesday morning, when a vehicle en route to the provincial city hit a roadside mine in Peshtrod district of the province.

According to Police Spokesman, the victims were carrying a patient to a provincial hospital when the incident occurred.

The patient was killed and driver of the vehicle was injured in the blast, Bahir said, adding that the mine was planted by the Taliban, apparently to target Afghan security forces.
