The contracts of residential towns to house Afghan refugees coming from Pakistan states and the carpet weaver to grow their industry were signed by the Governmental officials at the Presidential palace on Monday.
The officials have claimed that the residential towns will house more than million people where part of the towns has been specialized for the Afghan refugees returning from Pakistan back to the country.
Head of the Independent Directorate of Lands Mohammad Jawad Paikar said,” The towns which will be built will house 110 thousand people directly and 1,5 million people indirectly where 10000 Afghan refugees places has been specialized.”
Officials have declared the aim of the following program to grow Carpet weaving industry in the country and housing the migrants returning home.
“ 9000 acres of lands will be given to which will help carpet weavers to reside and grow their industry $ 200 million will be invested to circle the economy of the country Minister of Urban and Housing Sayed Saadat Mansour Nadiri said.”
Head of the carpet weaving industry stated that we have experienced lots of ups and downs in the past years.
Head of the carpet weaving industry Asmatullah Batour said,” Carpet weaving industry is mostly run by the Afghan women but they still live in poverty.”
The following construction projects will be implemented at first in Nangarhar, then Balkh, and Kunduz provinces along the Industrial parks for growing the carpet weaving industry.
