President Ghani Visits Australia to Boost Economic Ties

17759747_1276650229093138_6970211162299712875_nOfficials in Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI) say, president meet Australian officials to provide more aids for Afghanistan’s agriculture sector.

The officials added, Afghanistan still is in dire need of more investments in the sector.

The president expects to sign an agreement on boosting bilateral economic ties.

“We favor national steps on developing economy. It’s highly important that government must facilitate domestic investments.” Younis Mohmand, Chamber of commerce vice president told Ariana News.

Experts, however believe that the government not only try to attract foreign investors but smooth ways to grow domestic investments.

Taj Mohamad Talash, an economic analyst emphasized on efforts to “turn domestic investments lucrative.”

But corruption according to experts is still one of the main obstacles along the way to investments.  It’s believed, without encouraging domestic investments it’s hard to convince foreigners to invest in Afghanistan.
