President Ashraf Ghani travelled to northern Parwan province early on Wednesday morning, the Presidential Palace said.
In a statement released, Ghani’s office said he is leading a high-ranking governmental delegation.
The visit aims to evaluate the reconstruction progress of Jabul Saraj Palace in the province.
Speaking among elders of Parwan, Kapisa and Panjshir provinces, Ghani said the Palace will be changed as a symbol of “Jihad and Resistance” of Afghans.
The National Unity Government has took an initiative to renovate a number of historical palaces in the country. President Ghani inaugurated Darulaman Palace in Kabul on August 2019.
