President Ghani traveled to He-rat province of Afghanistan early on Saturday morning.
According to preliminary reports he is accompanying by a number of acting ministers from security, education, and public health ministries along with a number of representatives of He-rat in Afghan Parliament.
Ghani headed to He-rat 2 days after he terminated Sayed Fazlulah Wahidi, Acting Governor of western He-rat province of Afghanistan.
Officials said that the decision by President Ghani was taken following a report indicating rampant aggression in Herat.
He will meet with the people of He-rat to discuss finding ways for good governance and to improve the security situation in Shindand district of the province.
This is the second provincial trip of the President to the western province of Afghanistan after he visit Paktika last month.
