Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Tajikistan’s Ambassador Yusuf Sharifzoda in a meeting on Wednesday discussed the current military-political, economic, and social situation in Afghanistan.

According to a statement released by Tajikistan’s foreign ministry, they emphasized that the Afghanistan situation directly affects the region’s security situation.

During the meeting, they also discussed other key issues of mutual interest.

It was emphasized that Pakistan appreciates the efforts of Tajikistan to strengthen peace and stability in the region.
