Pakistan foreign ministry emphasized on starting peace talks between Afghanistan and Taliban group and vowed to help Afghanistan to bring Taliban to the negotiation table.
Spokesman of Pakistan foreign ministry said that Afghanistan is as the key to restarting peace talks with Taliban and it depends on Afghanistan to decide when to negotiate with Taliban.
Afghanistan High Peace Council also said to consider terrorism dangerous for the region and stressed on starting peace talks between the two parties.
Outgoing president Hamid Karzai formed the Afghan High Peace Council in 2010 to pursue a negotiated peace with the Taliban, who have been leading an insurgency since being ousted from power by US-led forces in 2001.
However, Afghan political analysts do not trust on Pakistan’s commitments because Pakistan has repeatedly promised of cooperation but always supported terrorism in the region.
Earlier, the neighboring country, Pakistan has said to play a significant and effective role in bringing peace to Afghanistan.
