Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa condemned the terrorist attack on the military base.
The premier expressed deep grief and sorrow over the terrorist attack in Afghanistan.
In his message, he said that the government and people of Pakistan stand in solidarity with the government of Afghanistan and Afghan brethren in the hour of grief.
“Terrorists have struck the Balkh province leading to the loss of the precious lives of Afghan soldiers and we [Pakistan] strongly condemn this barbaric act of terrorism. Our heart goes out to the victims of this terrorist attack.”
The neighboring Iranian ministry of foreign affairs calls peace and reconciliation as the only way out.
Iranian spokesman, Bahram Qasimi said, “The Islamic republic of Iran insists over ensuring peace and prosperity for the region as whole and for Afghanistan in particular. We believe, the only way out of the long war is reconciliation and avoiding consistent involvement of U.S forces and its international allies.”
India and Resolute support mission in Afghanistan called the attack as brutal and coward and insist over continued support of their nations to Afghanistan long term peace and instability.
