One Killed, Five Injured as Car Bomb Hits Border Police in Helmand

At least one Afghan border police killed and five others wounded in a car bomb explosion in southern Helmand province on Friday morning, officials said.

The blast targeted border police battalion in Bolan area located in the PD3 of Lashkargah City.

Border Police commander in Helmand, Zahirgul Muqbil, told Ariana News that the explosives were placed in a Mazda truck and the blast occurred near the Border Police second battalion.

He said as a result one policeman was killed and five others were wounded.

The Taliban group claimed responsibility for the attack.
