Ahadi 10-8-2016-Dari-SOT.mpg_snapshot_00.43_[2016.08.10_19.33.00]Afghanistan ‘New National Front’ (NNF) party says the National Unity Government (NUG) has failed to fulfill commitments made during their electoral campaigns.

Chairman of NNF has declared that the legitimacy of the government becomes questioning after 8th September and NUG leaders should hold a national consensus for solving the legitimacy crisis.

“Failure in holding Loya Jirga for amendment of the constitution, lack of reforms in the electoral system and failure in fulfilling its commitments are the factors that the government should seriously address them,” said Anwarul Haq Ahadi, chairman of NNF.

Meanwhile, the opposition party of the government accuses the Afghan government of inability to solve the problems of Afghan refugees in Pakistan; citing the government should solve the problem in cooperation with the United Nations.

“More than one and a half million Afghan refugees are in Pakistan. The government should prepare a plan in cooperation of the United Nations to solve this problem,” Ahadi added.

This period in Afghanistan’s history requires a legitimate and functioning government committed to implementing a comprehensive program of reform to empower the Afghan public, thereby making the values of the Constitution a daily reality for the people of Afghanistan.

Stability of the country is strengthened by a genuine political partnership between the President and the CEO, under the authority of the President.

Dedicated to political consensus, commitment to reforms, and cooperative decision-making, the national unity government will fulfill the aspirations of the Afghan public for peace, stability, security, rule of law, justice, economic growth, and delivery of services, with particular attention to women, youth, Ulema, and vulnerable persons.

Further, the National Unity Government’s agreement is based on the need for genuine and meaningful partnership and effective cooperation in the affairs of government, including design and implementation of reforms.
