The National Directorate of Security – Afghanistan’s Intelligence Agency has arrested four terrorist networks in southern Kandahar province of Afghanistan.
According to a statement released by the Afghan spy agency on Tuesday, the NDS members have arrested these four networks contained 19 members during a special military raid.
The groups were planning to perform coordinated attacks in Kandahar city aiming to harm the people, the statement said.
The statement added that about 852 different types of weapons and ammunitions were also confiscated from the groups during the operation.
Kandahar is among the volatile provinces in southern Afghanistan, where the Taliban militants are widely active in a number of its areas, and usually cause casualties to Afghan civilians and military forces by performing intensified terror attacks.
