The Afghan intelligence agency has arrested a Taliban member who was involved in planting Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Nangarhar province in east of Afghanistan during a military operation.
The National Directorate of Security (NDS) said that it has arrested a Taliban related mine planter and coordinator in Kot district of Nangarhar province.
The terrorist has been identified as Fazlullah son of Ahmad Shah who was arrested red handed with several explosives and weapons.
According to the NDS, the weapons and explosives seized from Fazlullah included a pistol, a rifle, IED remote control, 2 grenade fuses and some other explosives used for making of IEDs.
Taliban has long been used IEDs, as a weapon of their choice, to target the Afghan security forces and their foreign allies which has caused casualties to Afghan civilians as well.
