MRRD implemented 10,000 development projects in past 9 months

Afghanistan Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) says that around 10,000 development projects have been implemented in 34 provinces of the country during the past nine months.
According to MRRD statistics, nearly $ 230 million have been spent on these projects.
“The balance has not been observed in the implemented projects of provinces due to the insecurity problem,” Nasir Ahmad Durani, minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said.
Durani also noted that the ministry has spent 60 % of the development budget so far.
“90 percent of the development budget has been spent which is $ 389 million,” Durani added.
He further emphasized that he has signed the documents of around 1700 development projects in the current year that worth more than $ 113 million.
The minister of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said that he has made several parallel administrations together to prevent interference and improve of works in the last few months.
