Mps reject Election draft law

Members at the 13 committees in lower house of the parliament have rejected the Election draft law, the following decision was made on the Afghanistan National Security Council session to hold parliamentary Election.

Afghan officials have tasked the security officials in Ministry of interior Affairs to work over the security plan and its financial aids for holding Election in the country.

President Deputy Spokesman Shah hussien Murtazavi said,” Afghanistan Government is on the edge of preparation for holding parliamentary Election and provincial council member, based on the National security council session, Ministry of Interior Affairs was tasked to draft the security plan with its financial aids for Election, and also President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani during his visit with Parliamentary members have talked about holding of Election at the earliest.”

Mp Homayoon Homayoon said,” the majority of Afghan law makers are opposite to the following law, based on my information scores of committee in the house have rejected the Election law.”

Afghan law maker Simeen Barekzai said,” disagreement among the committees have caused the Election law to be postponed.”

Election commissioner Aziz Bakhatyari said,” if the National Unity Government exert pressures, the Parliamentary Election will not be held this year.”

Former head of the Independent Election commission Fazel Ahmad Manavi said,” Reformation in Election law will declare the post of Chief of executive before Election.”

One source from the Presidential palace who didn’t want to be named mentioned that both Ministries of Interior and Finance were tasked to get preparation for holding of a parliamentary Election.
