A number of members of Parliament criticized the acting governors and said that abuse of security sector caused the insecurity and problems in the provinces.
Parliament members urged the National Unity Government (NUG) to soon end the issue of acting governors and safe country from crisis.
Representatives in Parliament are said to consider spreading insecurities and problems in the provinces are because of acting governor’s irresponsibility.
While seven months have been passed since the formation of NUG, the government has only appointed governors for Herat, Farah, Kandahar, Kundoz and Pakteya provinces.
“Insecurity has raised. Incompetence, corruption, and lack of coordination by the acting governors casued the armed oppositions of the government abuse,” Habiba Danesh, Member of Parliament said.
Meanwhile, a number of Afghan people in several provinces of the country called on government to soon appoint governors for the provinces.
“The acting governors do not work properly, people have many problems. The government should end people’s concerns,” one of Baghlan residents said.
This comes as before traveling to India, President Ghani has recently appointed Homayoun Azizi as Kandahar governor and Muhammad Asef Rahimi as Herat governor.
