A number of members of Parliament are worried that the disagreements of the national unity government on power sharing caused the delay of forming the new cabinet.
They expressed concern and said that the country will face security and economic crisis with the delay in announcement of the new cabinet.
Parliament members urged the government of national unity to soon reach an agreement on introducing the members of the new cabinet.
Fatima Aziz, member parliament said, “If these disagreements continue on power sharing, the government of national unity will lose its credibility among the people.”
President Ashraf Ghani has now officially broken his first campaign promise — to form a new government within 45 days after his inauguration which officials and analysts say has long suffered from a focus on patronage rather than policy.
