Minister Ali Osmani says, Afghanistan has over 70 billion Cubic water, but it as of now it only uses 25 percent of the that capacity.
Minister Osmani said, “One of our main problems in proper using of our water is lack of infrastructure to control and manage it. we lack huge water warehouses and distribution system.”
MoEW disclosed what it’s called ‘big plans’ for proper water management.
Osmani added, “We have huge plans for both building mega and micro infrastructures in water management control system. “
As water is turning to a highly profitable commodity across the globe, Afghanistan wastes a roughly $ 2 billion worth water annually.
