MoD’s acting minister meets with head of Uzbekistan’s intelligence
Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid, Acting Minister of National Defense, on Wednesday, met with Abdusalom Abdumavlonovich Azizov, the head of Uzbekistan’s intelligence, and his accompanying delegation to discuss border issues, strengthening of bilateral relations, economic and transit cooperation, and other issues.
The Ministry of National Defense said during the meeting, Mujahid said: “We have done a lot of work on the country’s borders during the past year and we are determined to do more work to strengthen the borders in the future.”
Also, the Acting Minister of National Defense assured the Uzbek side that the defense and security forces of the Islamic Emirate are ready for any kind of cooperation regarding the implementation of development and investment projects and other initiatives between the countries.
On the other hand, the head of the intelligence and border services of Uzbekistan assured Mujahid of his country’s willingness to strengthen relations with the Islamic Emirate and to continue their cooperation in various sectors with the people of Afghanistan.
