Culprits who were involved in a deadly suicide attack on the convey of Afghan police cadets have been killed during an operation in central Maidan Wardak province, the National Directorate of Security (NDS) said in a statement.
According to a statement released by the NDS, two senior Haqqani network commanders, Mullah Mahmoud also known as Fateh and Azizullah also known as Azami, were killed during the special operation along with another 7 fighters including a suicide bomber.
The operation was conducted by the Afghan intelligence operatives in Badam village of Nerkh district, the statement added.
Several light and heavy weapons were seized and four motorcycles belong to the militants and a suicide vest were destroyed also during the operation, the statement continued.
At least 30 people mainly police cades were killed and 58 others were injured in a suicide attack in Company area of Kabul near Maidan Wardak province late in the month of June.
