“India should be a lot bolder in meeting military needs of Afghanistan,” Karzai who was speaking with Indian journalists in New Delhi said,” I want India to take bold steps, and put caution behind, to bolster Afghan defence capabilities.”

“We don’t want’ Indian soldiers in Afghanistan. It has to b’ ‘your equipment, our manpower,” Karzai added.
He also backed the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement on Balochistan and said that extremism comes to Afghanistan from Balochistan.
“It means India is concerned about the rising instability in the region, and about human rights in the region, he continued,” Balochistan is not a distant issue for us. Extremism to Afghanistan comes from there.”
When Karzai was on chair he provided India with a list of military equipments need by Afghanistan, but it was not materialized as India was considerate of the views of Pakistan and the US.
Now he calls on India again to have its own considerations and provide greater military support to Afghanistan.
