He said that a lot of security challenges will be resolved after the new plan was fully implemented.
“Our plan is having seven priorities and 52 activities which needs to be implemented, so we can bring remarkable changes and improvements in Kabul security situation,” Mr. Barmak told Ariana News.
According to the MoI minister, conducting the clearance operations and widening the security checkpoints to the gates of Kabul City are part of the new plan.
“Forces from the 111th army division will be placed in vulnerable areas of Kabul City which are identified by intelligence agencies,” he said. “All 133 entrance routes to Kabul City have been identified.”
The Afghan security institutions outlined the new security plan for the capital Kabul after a series of deadly attacks by Taliban and the so-called Islamic State (IS) insurgent groups killed a high number of people.
