Investors lost hopes due to delays in Cabinet: ACCI

Officials in Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI) believe that delays in Cabinet formation have retarded the investment process in Afghanistan.

Adding that after the formation of the National Unity Government hopes for investment have been increased, but postponement on the cabinet formation have resulted the investors to be more concerned and lose their hopes.

Attiqullah Nasrat, Chief Executive Officer of ACCI said,” Delays have concerned and confused the investors to invest in Afghanistan; the National Unity Government must announce the cabinet as soon as possible.”

On the other hand Spokesman of the Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Musafer Qoqo Qandi stated that delays in cabinet announcement does not have a negative impact in economic situation of  the country adding that imported goods are cheap and numerous in Afghanistan markets.

These statements come after the National Unity Government recently announced that the cabinet members will be introduced to the House of Representatives – Wolesi Jirga in another ten days.
