Officials in Ministry of Agriculture and live stock have said that India will provide 220 tons of wheat for Afghanistan, the New Delhi asked the Afghan Government to launch necessary measurements for the delivery of the wheat, but yet the officials in Ministry of transportation and Commerce to move forward.
They have urged that the following wheat will be kept in 9 provinces strategic stocks.
Ministry of Agriculture and live stock Spokesman Lufullah Rashid said,” We have launched necessary measurement for maintaining the following wheat, the delivery of the 220 tons of wheat responsibility goes to Ministry of Transport and Commerce.”
Mps asking the Government to keep the balance and deliver the amount of needed wheat.
Law maker Farhad Azimi said,” Considering the ongoing condition of the country Government should fetch the needed amount of wheat from India, no time should be wasted for delivery.”
India has been helping Afghanistan in different sectors especially on construction of big projects spending more than $2 billion dollar constructing Afghanistan parliamentary building and big water dam called Salma in the past 15 years.
