Indian and Afghan officials on Tuesday signed agreements for the implementation of 108 community development projects in Afghanistan.

The projects valued at $31.33 million will be executed in 31 of Afghanistan’s 34 provinces.

Manpreet Vohra, Indian Ambassador to Kabul, at the signing ceremony of the agreements with Afghan officials said that these projects will improve the life of those people who are living in the remote areas of the country.

He added that India will implement its projects in 34 provinces of Afghanistan and vowed for the implementation of more economical projects in Afghanistan in the future.

At the same event, Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah said that those countries, which are not supporting Afghanistan, should not destabilize the country by supporting terrorists.

Abdullah praised India’s economic and political support for Afghanistan and called on those countries involved in destabilizing Afghanistan to support the war-torn country.

He pointed to cross-Durand Line incursion by Pakistan and said,” no one can achieve anything by destabilizing Afghanistan, shelling rockets and suicide attacks.”

In addition, he said we expect those countries which claim they want friendly relations with Afghanistan “to show their goodwill in practice”.
