Here are the latest medal results from the 2024 Paris Olympics

By Tuesday evening, Japan was leading the medal table with the most wins at this year’s Olympic Games in Paris – with six Gold, two Silver and four Bronze.

A close second was France with 16 medals in total but only five Gold. However, the host nation has eight Silver and three Bronze medals to their name so far.

Behind them is China with a total of 12 medals. Five are Gold, another five are silver and two are Bronze.

In 4th place is Australia with a total of 5 Golds; in 5th place is South Korea also with 5 Golds; and in 6th place is the United States with 3 Gold medals.

Great Britain, Italy, Canada, Hong Kong and Germany each have 2 Gold medals and Kazakhstan, South Africa, Belgium and Azerbaijan have one Gold each.

FUN FACT:

The Number 1 All-Time Gold Medal Ranking to date is held by the United States which has won a total of 1,061 Gold medals across the history of the Games.

Second to them is the former Soviet Union which had 395 Gold medals before it was disbanded.

Great Britain is 3rd with an all-time tally of 284 and China is 4th with an all-time tally of 263.

In the 33rd match of the fifth season of the Afghanistan Champions League, Sorkh Poshan Khafi delivered a solid performance to defeat Jawanan Perozi with a decisive 2–0 victory.

In the 34th match of the competition, held on Thursday, Abu Muslim Farah also put on an impressive display, overcoming Ettifaq Khanzadah with a 3–1 win and adding two more valuable points to their tally.

The competition continues tomorrow (Friday) with two more matches:

  • In the 35th match, Khurasan Faryab will face Aino Mina at 10:00 AM.
  • In the 36th match, Istiqlal Kabul will take on Ettifaq Khanzadah at 1:30 PM.
