Heavy Clashes Ongoing in Urozgan’s City
Provincial governor spokesman Dost Mohammad Nayab said currently the insurgents are threatening the areas around the City, but Afghan security forces are prepared to respond to threats.
He added that at least 32 Taliban fighters were killed and 12 others were wounded by the Afghan forces, but he did not provide any figure about governmental forces causalities.
According to the source about 300 militants have stormed over the City and are currently fighting with the security forces in the City.
A Taliban spokesman confirms heavy clashes ongoing and claims many checkpoints overrun by their militants.
Urozgan is among the volatile provinces in south of Afghanistan where the insurgents are actively operating in large swath of the province.
