Gov’t can’t dismiss IEC commissioners: Aziz

The member of the Independent Election Commission IEC has stated that if the President decree is approved by the Afghanistan National Assembly, Afghan Government can’t dismiss IEC commissioners, saying only the selective committee can introduce the successor of Nuristani.

Meanwhile CE office have declared the IEC members guilty, stating that new members will be appointed in the Independent Election Commission soon.

CE Deputy Spokesman Jawid Faisal said,” members of the Independent Election Commission hasn’t been good executors, they were guilty for doing frauds within the Election, therefore they should be dismissed from their posts.”

Meanwhile officials in Presidential palace have reported that the selective committee members to begin its activities.

President Deputy Spokesman Shah Hussien Murtazavi said,” the selective committee has begun activities, after selecting of members in the Election commissions, they will decide to determine the Election calendar.”

Further on the story the IEC members have rejected the visions of both Presidential palace and CE office.

IEC commissioner Aziz Bakhatyari said,” if the President’s decree is approved by the parliament it can’t dismiss the members of the Independent Election Commission, it can only introduce the successor of Nuristani former head of IEC.”

Based on the law the Government can’t dismiss any members of the Election commissions.
