A 12-year-old girl has lost two of his legs in a roadside bomb explosion in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan, officials said on Thursday.
According to a statement released by Nangarhar media office, the bomb went off while the girl was collecting woods in Sangina area of Chaparhar district.
The statement blames anti-government elements for the incident, saying the roadside bomb was placed to target the Afghan security forces.
Medical sources in Jalalabad central hospital said that the girl was under medical care.
No group has claimed responsibility for the blast.
