Ghani Expresses Unsatisfactory on Agriculture Development

1President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani who has inaugurated the 17th Agriculture products exhibition in Kabul expressed his unsatisfactory from the poor development of Agriculture in the country, saying 15 percent of the Afghan population sleeps with empty stomach while the other 60 percent do not have foods safety.

He sharply insisted on using own water for growing Agriculture industry in the country.

However Minister of Agriculture and livestock Asadullah Zameer said,” We have established 32800 gardens in 1150 acres of lands in 30 provinces of Afghanistan, 2000 cold storages were built and the development programs launched to implement the vaccination of the animals in the country.”

Meanwhile President Ghani has confirmed that efforts were made on growing the Agriculture but it’s not acceptable for me, Afghan women should be able to take part on Agriculture sector.

He said,” I don’t accept what has been done on Agriculture sector, we need to be an Agriculture exporting goods to abroad.”

Despite of aids received but they were sufficient to help women to do more on developing the Agriculture.

Farmer Nafisa said,” We as women do need help and assistance, more supports should be done for us.”

During his speech President Ghani also talked about the ensuring of electricity saying 29 dams construction is underway soon electricity will be maintained, despite of electricity the water management for the country is vital.

The 233 boots will exhibit the Afghanistan Agriculture products for 3 days in Kabul city.
