Four Heroin Producing Factories Destroyed in Nangarhar

MOI1Four heroin producing factories have been destroyed by police forces during a raid in the Khogyani district of eastern Nangarhar province, the Afghan interior ministry said on Wednesday.

According to the statement released by the interior ministry, the counter-narcotics police of Afghanistan has discovered and eliminated four large heroin processing and producing factories during two anti-drug activities.

The two operations were conducted on Tuesday nights in Nakor Khail and Kachar villages of Khogyani district in which 7,500 kg of morphine, 810 kg of ammonium chloride, 500 liters of liquid opium and some chemicals and equipments used to produce heroin were seized and burned.

The counter-narcotics police of Afghanistan is responsible for seizing drugs, arresting those involved in drug trafficking and those involved in facilitating heroin production, including opium dealers, suppliers and distributors of precursor chemicals.
