Floyd Mayweather has beaten Conor McGregor by way of technical knockout in the 10th round of their much-hyped fight in Las Vegas.

Mayweather moved to 50-0 as a professional. McGregor, a mixed martial artist, took a hard-fought loss in the first boxing match of his career.

Both fighters made bold claims about their ability to crush the other. In the days leading up to the fight, Mayweather guaranteed he’d knock out McGregor.

Although McGregor is one of the biggest stars in mixed martial arts, he had not boxed since he was a teenager, and had no professional boxing matches under his belt.

The fight was fashioned on the strength of two bombastic personalities with huge fan bases, making for a ripe promotional draw.

Official: Laliga to resume on June 11

The Spanish Football league known as La Liga will officially resume on June 11, says the Laliga’s president Javier Tebas.

While the Coronavirus shutdown the European football leagues for two months, the major football leagues are now preparing to resume their matches.

The Germany’s Bundesliga is already resumed, whereas the other major leagues are yet to resume their matches.

According to Javier Tebas, the Laliga’s president, the match between Real Betis and Sevilla on June 11 could restart the league.

Tebas added the 2020-2021 season of Laliga will start on September 12.

This comes as all matches of the league for this season will be held behind the closed doors.

The England’s Premier League is expected to start on June 17th, while the Italy’s Serie A will resume on June 21st.

The French Football League was cancelled for this season, and Paris Saint German became the early champion of the season.

Afghanistan Cricket team to play test against Australia

Australia will host Afghanistan for test series in November as the country is lifting the restrictions.

Afghanistan Cricket Board confirmed (ACB) saying that National Team is scheduled to play a one-off Test match against Australia from 21st to 25th November 2020.

The day-night contest would be the first Test between the countries so far which will be held in Australia’s Perth, the organization said.

The ACB CEO Lutfullah Stanikzai said he is looking forward to the contest and hopes that the match is played if the pandemic of COVID-19 is contained by then. 

“Australia is a strong side in world cricket. However, our team will also be well prepared. The match will provide a great experience to them,” he added. 

It comes as Australia has announced a schedule for its summer games, taking the first steps in resuming international cricket matches.

Afghan Futsal goalkeeper tests positive for Coronavirus

Ali Reza Ghorbani, a goalkeeper of the National Futsal Team of Afghanistan has been infected with the COVID-19.

Ghorbani confirmed in an online post, saying, “Corona knocked me down, take is serious.”


Alireza, who had the most impressive performance in various competitions, has been playing for the national team for four years.

He also shined in the 2017 Asian Indoor Championships in which Afghanistan secured the fourth place.

It comes as all sporting events have been suspended due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in Afghanistan.

The Ministry of Public Health said that the total affected people in Afghanistan have risen to 12595 with 227 deaths and 1135 recoveries.
