Flood kills 7 people in Khost

floodSeven people including women and children lost their lives in flash downpour and flash floods that showered the eastern Khost province on Monday, officials said.

“The flash flooding has hit two vehicles in Yaqobi area of Sabri district,” deputy governor of Khost, Shir Padsha Urgoni, told Ariana News.

He added that 7 people including two women and five children on board were killed by flash floods and one man was wounded.

The passengers lost their lives were travelling to the city center while caught by flash floods.

According to the source the flash flood has washed away several areas and destroyed dozens acre of lands in the province as well.
