Five Consecutive Mine Blasts Rock Kandahar

Five consecutive mine blasts occurred  in southern Kandahar province of Afghanistan on Sunday, local officials said. 

The explosions happened late on Sunday at around 07:30 pm in PD1 and PD2 of Kandahar City, the Provincial Police Chief, Gen. Abdul Raziq told Ariana News. 

According to Gen. Raziq, at least six security personnel were injured in the incident.

This comes hours, after a suicide bomber targeted a convoy of foreign troops in Shoor Andam area, close to Kandahar airport. 

According to sources, the suicide bomber targeted a vehicle belongs to the foreign troops’ convoy.

There was immediate no report regarding casualties of the incident.
