Explosion in Balkh leaves 2 Dead, 13 Injured

Initial reports suggested that a suicide bomber blew himself up, but later the Afghan ministry of interior said it was improvised explosive devices placed inside a wheelbarrow.
“Some IED’s were placed in a wheelbarrow in PD2 area of Mazar-i-Sharif which killed two people who are not identified yet and injured 13 other civilians,” MoI statement said.
The explosion occurred at around 12:30 in a populated area in the city where many people have small vegetable and fruits shops.
No group has claimed the responsibility of the attack yet.
