Ex-President Karzai Condemns US None-Nuclear Bombing in Afghanistan

(Last Updated On: April 14, 2017)

KarzaiFormer Afghan president Hamid Karzai has condemned the US military’s deployment of the largest non-nuclear bomb, saying Afghanistan should not be used as a “testing ground” for weapons.

Karzai believes this is more than just a “war on terror” and implied no one would help Afghanistan “stop the US” so it is “upon us, the Aghans” to do so.

” I vehemently and in strongest words condemn the dropping of the latest weapon, the largest non-nuclear #bomb, on Afghanistan by US,” Karzai post it in his twitter.

Karzai accused the US military of using Afghanistan as a testing site for new weapons.

“This is not the War on Terror, but the inhuman and most brutal misuse of our country as testing ground for new and dangerous weapons,” he said. “It is upon us, Afghans, to stop the US.”

Afghan Presidential Palace office said in a statement the US attack was a part of a joint operation by Afghan and international troops.

“Afghan and foreign troops closely coordinated this operation and were extra cautious to avoid any civilian casualties,” it said.

The U.S. military dropped its largest non-nuclear bomb on an ISIS tunnel complex in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan on Thursday.
