The deputy military commission of Taliban group was killed and two of his bodyguards were wounded in their attack on Afghan security forces’ checkpoint in Oba district of Herat province, the local officials said.
The spokesman of Herat Police, Abdul Ahad Wali Zada told Ariananews that Afghan security forces had no casualties in this incident.
In another incident in the same province, Afghan forces have released a driver who was recently kidnapped in Kohsan district of Herat.
Wali Zada further added that the kidnappers have been identified and are under tracking by Police.
This comes as Taliban’s activities are continuing in Herat districts which left heavy casualties for both Afghan forces and the militant’s group in the recent years.
